Visitation for Mrs. Giardina will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm .    Mass  Saturday 9:45 am. at St .Thomas RCC. Interment follows  at Holy Rood Cemetery. Additional parking across from the funeral home.  Joan was born November 2,1934,Corona,NY and moved to Elmont,graduating from Sewanhaka HS in 1952. Pre-deceased by husband Alfred April 27,2021. Survived by daughter Lynn Giardina,James (son-in-law),Brittney (Yastrub) Heaphy (granddaughter married to Ryan Heaphy-Sawyer Heaphy) great grandson).  Tyler Yastrub (grandson) married to Christie WilliamYastrub.  Life Long Islander ,loved gardening,cooking,and listening to  music from the 40’s and 50’s.
